The Ivy Hotel & Residences is a 400,000sf high-rise mixed-use project, comprised of two adjacent towers rising above 5 levels of subterranean parking. The 19-story hotel tower houses 136 guestrooms, while the 26-story condominium tower boasts 92 luxury residences. Both towers are post-tensioned flat plate concrete frames, while parking levels are conventionally reinforced. The level at grade presented additional challenges as the structure layout transitioned from living space to parking. NCM worked closely with their subcontractors and suppliers to coordinate the construction of this transfer level.
The entire structure sits on a mass concrete mat slab that contains a monumental 2,400 cu. yds. of concrete, which NCM completed in a single pour. |
