Chaska Public Safety Services
The Chaska Public Safety Services project showcases Northland Concrete & Masonry’s experience in delivering high-quality masonry for large-scale public facilities. The building serves both the Chaska Fire and Police Departments and was built with durability, functionality, and long-term performance in mind.
Northland’s masonry scope included 96,000 grey block units, 159,000 modular brick, 7,000 modular thin brick, and 8,000 square feet of precast panels. These materials came together to create a durable structure with a clean, modern architectural finish.
Throughout the project, our team maintained a strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail. The completed facility reflects the craftsmanship and expertise Northland brings to every project while providing a lasting space for Chaska’s first responders and community.
Crystal Police Station
Northland Concrete & Masonry played a key role in the construction of the new Crystal Police Station in Crystal, MN. This modern 53,000- square foot facility was built adjacent to City Hall at 4141 Douglas Drive North and was designed to meet the evolving needs of law enforcement and the community. With a project budget of approximately $16 million, construction began in spring 2021 and was completed by summer 2022. The new building includes secure evidence storage, K-9 officer housing, indoor fleet parking, updated detention areas, and new locker rooms. It also involved the demolition and renovation of portions of the original 1965-era City Hall.
As the concrete and masonry subcontractor, NCM was responsible for construction the building’s foundation, cast-in-place concrete walls, structural slabs and masonry elements. Their scope of work included both exterior and interior block walls, site concrete work such as walkways and curbs and any structural concrete needed to support the police facility’s specialized areas.
