US Bank / Vikings Stadium – Minneapolis, MN
- Masonry Block
NCM is very proud to have participated in one of the largest and the newest NFL stadium projects to date. Our scope of work on the one billion dollar project included 410,000 masonry blocks dispersed across 8 levels and 6 masonry stair shafts each 140 feet tall! With an average crew size of 30 workers, NCM successfully completed their scope of work within 18 months. Dozens of other subcontractors working within the project, and at times with nearly 1000 workers, Northland led the way demonstrating teamwork and safety while meeting the challenging schedule. Here’s what Mortenson’s head Superintendent, Dave Mansell had to say…“Northland’s performance on the masonry at the US Bank Stadium was exceptional. Their attention to safety, quality and schedule on a fast track, complex, difficult job was second to none! I look forward to the opportunity of our next job together.”

- Architectural Precast
- Brick
- CMU Walls
NCM is proud to have been the masonry contractor for the University of Minnesota Golden Gopher football team. To have the stadium ready for the opening kick-off for the Fall 2009 season, M.A. Mortenson solicited a challenging schedule with stringent criteria. Few masonry contractors could compete with the capabilities of NCM to install approximately 600,000 CMU, 30,000sf of architectural precast, 300,000 utility brick, and place 2,750 cu. yds. of grout in a time frame of 10 months. Impressively, NCM exceeded everyone’s expectations by completing 90% of their scope of work in only 4 months. This accomplishment came through months of pre-planning, dedication from the onsite foreman and the skilled labor of over 100 men and women on the crew. The end result is a stadium with many masonry architectural features, including a noteworthy 50ft tall Monument Wall wrapping the entire perimeter to welcome the Gopher fans.
